Refund & Cancellation Policy
Tukaram Krishna Sutar Educational Trust
Effective Date: April 10, 2026
This policy governs all fee-related refund and cancellation requests processed through the student portal of Tukaram Krishna Sutar Educational Trust. Please read it carefully before making any payment.
1. General Policy
As a matter of principle, fees once paid through the student portal are generally non-refundable. Fee payments represent a commitment toward the delivery of educational services, and the Trust's academic and operational costs are incurred from the time of enrolment.
Refunds will, however, be considered and processed in the specific circumstances described in the sections below. All refund requests are subject to verification by the Trust's administrative office before any credit is issued.
2. Duplicate Payments & Technical Errors
The Trust recognises that technical failures — such as network interruptions, payment gateway timeouts, or system errors — may occasionally result in a student's account being debited more than once for the same fee transaction. In such cases:
- The full duplicate amount will be refunded after the Trust's administrative team has verified the transaction records against the payment gateway logs.
- Students or parents who believe they have been charged twice must not initiate a second payment before contacting the school office. Duplicate payments resulting from voluntary re-submission without prior confirmation from the office may not qualify for an expedited refund.
- Upon verification, the duplicate amount will be credited back to the original payment source within the timeline stipulated in Section 5 below.
3. Refund Eligibility
A refund request will be considered eligible for processing only if all of the following conditions are satisfied:
- The request is submitted within 7 working days of the date of the original transaction. Requests received after this window will not ordinarily be entertained, except in extraordinary circumstances at the sole discretion of the Trust.
- The request is accompanied by a copy of the official payment confirmation receipt and the transaction reference number issued by the payment gateway.
- The refund relates to a duplicate charge, a technical error, or another circumstance expressly recognised under this policy.
- The fee in question has not already been applied toward the commencement of the relevant academic term, course, or module.
4. How to Request a Refund
To initiate a refund request, please follow the steps below:
Compose an email to the Trust at info@scholarshighschool.edu.in with the subject line: "Refund Request – [Student Name] – [Transaction Date]".
Attach the official payment confirmation receipt generated by the portal and include the full transaction reference/ID in the email body.
Provide a brief description of the reason for the refund request, specifying whether it pertains to a duplicate charge, technical error, or other circumstance.
Alternative: You may also visit the administrative office of the respective institute in person during working hours (Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM) and submit a written refund application along with copies of the receipt and ID.
The Trust will acknowledge your request within 2 working days and may reach out for any additional documentation required for verification.
5. Refund Processing Timeline
Approved refunds will be processed and credited back to the original payment source — Bank Account, Debit/Credit Card, or UPI — within 7 to 10 working days from the date of approval.
Please note the following regarding the refund timeline:
- The 7–10 working day period begins from the date the Trust formally approves the refund, not from the date the request was submitted.
- The actual credit may appear in your account a few additional days later, depending on your bank's internal processing cycle.
- Refunds are always credited to the original payment source and cannot be redirected to a different bank account, card, or UPI handle.
- The Trust is not responsible for delays caused by the bank or payment gateway beyond the Trust's own processing window.
6. Cancellation Policy
Given the nature of educational services provided by the Trust, the following cancellation terms apply:
Admission cancellations are subject to the Trust's internal academic bylaws and must be initiated through the administrative office of the respective institute. Fee entitlements in such cases will be determined in accordance with applicable state education regulations and the Trust's refund schedule in force at the time of cancellation.
- Fees paid for a specific academic term, semester, or module are non-cancellable and non-refundable once the term or session has commenced, regardless of the student's subsequent withdrawal or absence.
- Examination fees, activity fees, and other ancillary charges collected for specific services are non-refundable once the related service has been scheduled or initiated.
- In exceptional cases — such as prolonged medical illness substantiated by documentation, or relocation — the Trust may, at its sole discretion, consider a partial credit or adjustment of fees. Such requests must be made in writing to the Principal of the respective institute.
7. Chargebacks & Disputes
We strongly urge students and parents to contact the Trust directly before initiating a chargeback with their bank or card issuer.
A chargeback is a dispute mechanism provided by your bank and is intended as a last resort. Initiating a chargeback without first approaching the Trust for resolution:
- May significantly delay the resolution of your concern, as bank chargeback processes typically take 30–90 days.
- Could result in the temporary suspension of portal access for the associated student account pending resolution.
- May incur additional administrative costs that the Trust is required to recover in accordance with applicable terms.
The Trust is committed to resolving all genuine payment disputes fairly and promptly. Please write to info@scholarshighschool.edu.in and we will respond within 2 working days.
